Lady Lucia (Major) Update

Hello, readers—

Thank you so much for your patience over the last few days, and hopefully for your patience moving forward as well. Switching platforms is never an easy or a fun process. I’m just grateful I have the time to do so at a less stressful pace compared to some other writers out there. Anyway, I’ve got a number of things to include in this post, so let’s jump right in:

SubscribeStar

The most important update, of course. Due to Patreon getting more and more sensitive about what content they allow on their site, I’ve made the decision to leave now rather than waiting to be asked (or, worse, having my page shut down without any warning like they did to many others a few months ago). SubscribeStar was actually a possibility I had considered back when I first started this endeavor, but I was worried the less familiar platform name would end up being a hang-up for some. Guess I’ll get the chance to put that to the test over the coming months.

As of right now, my SubscribeStar page has officially launched. The only thing I have left to transfer over there are the two exclusive short stories—I’m purposely delaying those another few days, as I’m hoping I’ll be able to polish each of them a bit before posting them on the new site. You can find the page’s link just about anywhere. The button at the top of my website, on the Exclusive Content section of my site, and RIGHT HERE as a shameless attempt to maybe nudge a couple of you in that direction.

For those that haven’t seen my Patreon message, please note that I will still be posting over there. However, I have no idea how long my page will last after their latest policy change. If it stays up, I’ll parallel all of my SubscribeStar posts on Patreon, but I recommend making the switch sooner than later. The basic pledge is still the same price, with the benefit that you’ll get charged a month after you sign up, rather than on the first of the month.

I’ve also shifted the tiers a little bit from what they were before, because . . .

Writing Takes Priority

Moving forward, that’s my goal.

It’s why Tiers 2-4 on SubscribeStar are simply ‘write more.’ That will be way less busy work on my end in terms of creating polls, adjusting the calendar every month, and other things that both drain my energy as well as take away from my writing time. And ideally, it’s a win/win, as I imagine a guarantee that the story you’d like to read more of is better than merely hoping that each vote goes your way.

While it isn’t exactly an update, this priority is something that will often explain why I make the decision to do XYZ over the coming months.

Acknowledgements

Some of you may have noticed that the ‘Acknowledgements’ page of my website is no longer visible. I promise, I still appreciate the support of each and every one of you! There are just a number of reasons why it makes sense to drop it for now, and potentially forever:

  1. Trying to keep track of Patreon and SubscribeStar at the same time would be a nightmare, especially with how much the former is fluctuating at the moment.

  2. SubscribeStar usernames are not as clear-cut and would look a little bit silly using the old format.

  3. The site is more clean and streamlined this way? I’ll have to wait for feedback on that.

  4. As expressed above, writing takes priority.

Writing Schedule

To balance out my wishes about focusing on writing more, I also want to make sure I don’t burn myself out. I’m still recovering a bit from a hectic December, and January hasn’t been much better thanks to the aforementioned changes. So. After a lot of consideration, here’s what I’ve landed on—

I only want to post Monday through Friday.

Dramatic effect aside, it’s really not that big of a change; I’m just going to remove one day from the rotation, which is actually how I started things off back in the beginning. Basically, quality over quantity. Giving myself that time and mental space to breathe over the weekend will both avoid burnout while simultaneously ensuring that my writing doesn’t suffer. Also, more timely posts, as we’ve all seen how I can fall a bit behind when I put too much on my plate.

The tentative schedule right now is M/T for the more niche fetish works, with Tuesday remaining a SubscribeStar day. Then Th/F will be for the more erotic genres I’ve been teasing for a few weeks now. Wednesday is a wild card; I imagine it will be a combination of exclusive story parts, future updates, etc.

I’ll keep everyone posted moving forward; I still have some calendar things to figure out, but that’s the general concept!

Conclusion

Thank you, everyone. Feel free to reach out with comments, questions, suggestions, and anything else that might be on your mind. I have a better sense of what I’m doing compared to when this all began, but there will always be a little experimentation, trial and error, and everything in between.

Until next time!

Much love,

Lady Lucia
